Lamp Appraisals Plus Lamp History Customers include individuals, insurance companies, estates, moving companies, auction companies, freight shipping and package delivery companies, cleaning and maintenance companies, painting contractors, resorts and rental companies and other special situations. I specialize in electric lamps and lighting fixtures and high end fuel lamps made since the late 1800's. Start by emailing only 1 initial photo showing the entire lamp or chandelier and if your lamp meets our appraisal criteria, I will respond with the Lamp Appraisal Questionnaire and a request for further photos. I offer two (2) types of lamp and lighting appraisals 1) Full Professional Lamp Appraisal (Fee $75) requires 5 weeks and includes background information, history about the lamp, the lamp company and the period in which the lamp was produced. This lamp appraisal includes the current market value of your lamp along with maintenance and insurance recommendations. The professional lamp appraisal uses actual real world transactions similar to a real estate appraisal and requires comparison study of your individual lamp. Value and historical data resources include real time current selling prices for similar lamps at various private and public auctions, known histories of antique lamps and lamp companies, known artists and art history, my personal library of antique lighting, lamps and other publications, photos, antique advertisements, professional contacts and lighting literature and my personal experience since 1979. 2) Value Only Lamp Appraisal (Fee $25) requires 1-3 days. The dollar value is the only information provided with this appraisal and nothing more. |
